University of New Haven Acquires Railroad Salvage Building and Land Adjacent to Main Campus

The University of New Haven’s Mayor’s Advisory Commission and West Haven Mayor Nancy Rossi will host a virtual town hall on Wednesday, March 3, enabling city residents and Â鶹AVs to connect with each other and city leaders.

West Haven and her staff invite residents to participate in a virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday, March 3, beginning at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The goal of this community event is to bring residents closer to Mayor Rossi and promoting transparency between the city and constituents.
It will also be broadcast via Facebook live on the . This meeting is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and the University of New Haven .
The Mayor’s Advisory Commission is a collaborative, student-driven task force founded in 2015 to strengthen and enrich the relationship between the University and the city. The commission is led by Killian Gruber ’22, a political science major, and by MAC advisor Chris Haynes, Ph.D., associate professor of political science and legal studies.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend and to ask questions. I will be co-moderating the meeting with Dr. Haynes.
Questions can be emailed to me at ctomc1@unh.newhaven.edu prior to the town hall. Participants will also have the ability to ask questions live on Zoom by using the raise hand feature. Those who view the meeting via Facebook live can send in questions as well.
All attendees will be allowed one question with a one-minute time limit. At the beginning of the question, each participant will state their name and subject of their question. All comments should be related to the city and/or government of West Haven. The thumbs-up button will be used by the moderators to give the person talking a ten-second warning. Please keep all dialogue courteous and respectful.
