WEST HAVEN, CT – West Haven and her staff invite residents to participate in a virtual town hall forum on Monday, April 12, beginning at 6 p.m. via . This event is a great way to bring West Haven residents closer to Mayor Rossi and fellow members of the West Haven community, and I believe the forum helps to promote transparency between City Hall and constituents.
This meeting is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and the University of New Haven Mayor’s Advisory Commission (MAC).
The Mayor’s Advisory Commission is a collaborative, student-driven task force founded in 2015 to strengthen the relationship between the University and the West Haven community. The University of New Haven commission is led by Killian Gruber ’22, a junior studying political science, and by adviser Chris Haynes, Ph.D., associate professor of political science and national security.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend and to ask questions. The meeting will be co-moderated by Dr. Haynes and me.
Questions can be sent in prior to the town hall via email to swein1@unh.newhaven.edu or to chaynes@newhaven.edu. Participants will also be able to ask questions live on Zoom through the raise hand feature. Those who are joining the meeting through Facebook live (streamed via the ) can ask questions as well.
All attendees will be allowed one question with a one-minute time limit. At the beginning of the question, each participant shall state their name and subject of their question. All comments should be related to the city and/or government of West Haven. The thumbs-up button will be used by the moderators to give the person talking a ten-second warning. Please keep all dialogue courteous and respectful.
We encourage everyone to participate, as this is a great way to get more connected to the West Haven community. We hope to see you all there!
